Today, at 3:42 Kiev time a vehicle “Vega” was launched from a launching pad Area 1 at Kourou Space Centre. It is located in the north-east of South America in French Guiana.

Spacecraft Mohammed VI-B developed under Morocco government order namely Airbus Defense and Space Company was successfully launched into the sun-synchronous orbit. It is the second satellite of this series, the first one – Mohammed VI-A was successfully launched with “Vega” launch-vehicle in November 2017.

Spacecraft Mohammed VI-B weighs 1110 kg. Observation after earth surface changes, agricultural monitoring and forecast of emergency situations will be held through the use of it.

“Vega” launch-vehicle of a light type was developed with European space agency and Italian space agency. Main engine block of 4th stage was developed by Design Office “Yuzhnoe” and manufactured at Yuzhmash. It is intriguing that Ukrainian engine works longer than engines of first three stages together.
