The Czech concern Witkowitz, which specializes in the manufacture of mechanical engineering equipment, plans to invest more than € 50 million in YUZHMASH to create new production facilities on its basis.

The main task of cooperation is the development of new projects for the reconstruction of railway diesel engines and the production of hydrogen engines. The approximate start of production is planned by the end of 2020. By this time, three separate production zones will be created: a workshop for pair of wheels repair with an investment of € 10 million, a workshop for wagons repair with a volume of up to € 2 million and a locomotive repair shop up to € 10 million. In addition, it is planned to form a trading platform of an authorized dealer of the Witkowitz concern.

The project provides for a long-term cooperation, which will result in the creation of authorized service centers for servicing locomotives and diesel engines, as well as a center for the overhaul wagons and pair of wheel repair. Further plans include a plant for the production of equipment for the manufacture of hydrogen and a center for the re-equipment of locomotives.

Cooperation with the WITKOWITZ concern should be the next step towards finding new opportunities to load production, to expand the geography of production cooperation and gain access to new markets for the enterprise. YUZHMASH is actively working in this direction, since the situation with the loading production still have to be improved considerably.

Witkowitz is one of the most powerful engineering plants in Central Europe. It was founded in the 19th century. Today it is a world famous brand with innovative technological solutions.
