As part of the Vega Flight VV20 mission, three French electronic reconnaissance satellites “CERES” were launched by a light class launch vehicle.

The CERES 1, 2 and 3 spacecraft with a total mass of 1548 kg will be located in a sun-synchronous orbit. The devices will determine the location and characteristics of electromagnetic radiation with high accuracy. The cost of the program is 450 million euros.

This is the third launch of the launch vehicle this year. For the launch vehicle “Vega”, YUZHMASH produces the RD-843 liquid rocket engine, which provides thrust and flight control of the fourth stage of the launch vehicle.
