On Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 16:46 North-AmericanEasternStandardTime(EDT) (23:46 KyivTime) Antares LV was successfully launched from NASA Wallops Flight Facility, Virginia (USA).

Within the NG-11 mission the Cygnus spacecraft, which was launched into the orbit, will deliver a standard payload for daily living needs, life support of the crew and for pursuing science experiments as well as thirteen small satellites. The cargo with the weight of about 3.5 tons will be delivered on April 19. The structure of the spacecraft is not designed to return to the Earth.

Cygnus spacecraft was designed by Northrop Grumman to deliver provision to International Space Station under the program Commercial Resupply Services. Today an updated version of the vehicle has been launched.

Just for information. Ukraine has cooperated with the USA on project Antares LV since 2008. The Core Structure of the First Stage of Antares LV was designed by Yuzhnoye Design Office and manufactured by YUZHNASH. For today nine successful launches were carried out within the project.
