September 16, 2016 at 01:43:35 UTC (04:43:35 Kyiv time) from the Kourou space center in French Guiana was launched carrier rocket Vega (VV07) by the starting teams of Arianespace. This rocket put into the orbit several satellites PeruSat-1, SkySat-Gen2 2, SkySat-Gen2 3, SkySat-Gen2 4, SkySat-Gen2 5. They are intended for the observing the Earth’s surface.
The satellite remote sensing PeruSat-1 was made by the specialists of Airbus Defence and Space, and it is owned by the Peruvian National Commission of Aerospace Research and Development. The satellite is equipped with optical equipment with a resolution of 0.7 m and is intended for the observing of our planet. Its weight of 430 kg.
Besides, four satellites SkySat of Terra Bella Company were put into the orbit. This company is a subsidiary of Google Company. SkySat task will be compiling a three-dimensional model of the Earth’s surface, the resolution of the model will be less than 1 m. The weight of each device of about 120 kg.
